Cittaslow Sunday 2011 in Reszel - summary

This year's celebrations take place in Sunday Cittaslow Public Library in Reszel under the slogan "From the ecology in the background".
First On the basis of a multimedia presentation, Dr. Wojciech Slomka gardeners learned to recognize the most common pests, are familiar with terms relating to feeding on crops and the biological and natural methods to combat them.
Dr. Straw in his lecture also discussed issues concerning the alignment of air-water relations in soils as a method of preventing the occurrence of some weed species. He discussed methods of fertilization and irrigation plots.
In another lecture, Dr. Wojciech Straws "Insects on the plot – allies or enemies, "invited young people from the Technical School of the School of Landscape Architecture them name Macieja  Rataja and Gymnasium students name Adam Mickiewicz University in Reszel.
Overall, the meeting was attended by 53 people.
Lectures accompanied the exhibition, which consisted of exhibits collected by Dr. Slomka.

CITTASLOW SUNDAY  25 September 2011  - world Cittaslow event
2st International Day of Good Living

 Cittaslow International organizes an international event to promote, across the world, “concepts” and “projects” which represent the reality and the idea of being Cittaslow. The President, Gian Luca Marconi, establishes the  world Cittaslow Day to spread the word about us. On this day, to be repeated every year, all Cittaslows can propose and organize one or more  of their own local initiatives in order to promote and disseminate the concepts of our collective action.

In Lidzbark Warmiński International Assembly of Cittaslow Association will take place with participation of Cittaslow cities from all over the world.

Polish National Network of Cittaslow Cities

On 12 July 2004, Marshal of the Warmia and Mazury, Reszel Mayor and President of Cultural Association "The Castle" signed an agreement to cooperate in order to join the city Reszel to the International Association of  Cittaslow Cities.
Between 13 - 16 November 2005 in the Voivodeship of Warmia - Mazury an official visit by representatives of the International Network of Cittaslow Cities Mr Roberto Angelucci and Massimo Borri took place, during which on the 15 November 2005 at the castle in Reszel a letter of intent for the creation of a national network of Cittaslow cities was signed. Under the signed agreement the Founding and Organizing Committee has been created as responsible for developing national rules and principles of Polish national network of Cittaslow cities .
From 19 to 24 June 2006 a study visit was carried out in the Italian cities of the Italian network of Cittaslow cities: Orvieto, Greve in Chianti, San Gemini and the Città della Pieve. The Polish delegation included representatives of Government of Warmia - Mazury Voivodeship and the mayors of cities creating a nationwide network of Cittaslow cities.
On 18.10.2006 Cittaslow Coordinating Committee approved the requirements of a national network of Polish Cittaslow cities.
On 21.03.2007 the completion of the verification process took place, and report findings were send to the President of the International Association of Cittaslow Cities.
