"Slow" to live better
Cittaslow International Association of Cities is a nonprofit organization and its purpose is the promotion and dissemination of culture of the good life through research, experimentation, application of solutions for the organization of the town.
The Cittaslow movement was born in 1999 with the idea of Paolo Saturnini, the mayor of Greve di Chianti, Italy and the mayors of other small towns and was adopted by the President of Slow Food in order to extend the philosophy of Slow Food on the local communities, to bring them closer to the concept of good life and transfer this conception into practice in everyday life.
