17th Cittaslow Cities Festival!

10 Jun 2026

The Cittaslow Town Festivals have been held annually since 2010. They are the most important event of the Polish National Network of Cittaslow Towns and an excellent opportunity to showcase and highlight the potential of its members. This coming Saturday, June 13th, the event will visit Barczewo.

The festival is a supra-regional event promoting the concept of sustainable development, high quality of life for residents, protection of cultural heritage, and local identity, in line with the principles of the international Cittaslow network, which includes numerous towns in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Organizing the festival aligns with the voivodeship’s strategic goals for the socio-cultural development of the region, tourism promotion, and support for initiatives that integrate local communities. As part of this event, a festival town is planned and a rich program of events will be implemented, including attractions for residents and tourists, including sightseeing, concerts, presentations of local products and handicrafts, as well as educational and entertainment activities. A variety of attractions are planned at over 30 promotional stands, including tastings, children’s games, and entertainment featuring a ceramic painting demonstration prepared by Eleonora Toś’s Kaflarnia Warmińska. Representatives of Cittaslow towns from across the country will compete in a multi-award competition for the Barczewski Snail. There will also be a competition for the most attractive festival stand.

The Festival Village will be located in the Barczewski Amphitheater, where concerts by Sztof, Babsztyl, and Mitra are also scheduled from 1:00 PM.

We cordially invite you
