“Copernicus was not only a great astronomer…” – Meeting with Nicolaus Copernicus in Orneta

We cordially invite you to the event entitled “Copernicus was not only a great astronomer…” – a meeting with Nicolaus Copernicus in Orneta. The event is organized by the Convent of St. Peter in Olsztynek with the support of the Marshal’s Office of the Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship.
The event will take place on August 2nd, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the square next to the Sports and Recreation Center in Orneta, ul. Sportowa 7, 11-130 Orneta.
We have prepared a unique event full of attractions:
• a meeting with Nicolaus Copernicus,
• knightly combat demonstrations,
• medieval dances,
• demonstrations of ancient crafts,
• culinary stands with tastings,
• a medieval playground for children.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Nicolaus Copernicus in an engaging and active way – not only as an outstanding astronomer, but also as a doctor, lawyer, and man of many passions.
