Angels from Krystyna – Opening of the exhibition and meeting on February 29, 2024

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition of Krystyna Michałowska’s works ANGELS FROM KRYSTYNA and a meeting with the Artist on February 29, 2024 – Thursday – at 18:00.

KRYSTYNA MICHAŁOWSKA studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1962–1968). She illustrated about a hundred books, including: “Fairy Tales” by H.Ch. Andersen, “The Book of Dragons” by Edith Nesbit, “The Dragon Princess” by Mieczysław Künstler, “The Legend of the Warsaw Basilisk” by Wanda Chotomska, “The Legend of the Sunken City” by Stefan Machrowski, “The Legend of the Golden Duck” by Barbara Lewandowska, “On King Pumpernickel, Princess Grzanka and the Knights Triangle Couch” by Krystyna Boglar, “The Adventures of Peter Pan” by J.M. Barrie. She is also known as the creator of cover designs for the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery and for “Mr. Car and the Frombork Puzzles” by Zbigniew Nienacki. She is the author of the graphic feature of the well-known series of children’s books “Read to me, mom” (Our Bookstore).
