Since 2019, the international Cittaslow network has acquired the first Polish “Friend of Cittaslow”, which is Grupa Meblowa Szynaka. The company’s operations are currently conducted in three Cittaslow towns in Warmia and Mazury – Lubawa, Nowe Miasto Lubawskie and Lidzbark.

Grupa Meblowa Szynaka is a multi-generational Polish family company that, thanks to modern management methods and an effective promotional policy, has developed numerous business contacts in Poland and over several dozen countries around the world. Today, it consists of 8 modern production plants located in Lubawa, Iława, Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, Lidzbark Welski and Wolsztyn, as well as the Logistics Center and the Mortęgi Palace Hotel & SPA. The total area of the facilities is over 500,000 m², which is equivalent to the size of 70 football pitches.

The following can apply for Cittaslow Friend status:

• commercial entities;
• associations;
• non-profit organizations;
• that intend to support the Association through monetary contributions, free services, support for specific projects, scientific and organizational cooperation and patronage.
