Dusk Falls But Hearts Don’t Fade

We invite you to a meeting dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Lidzbark resident, philosopher and religious scholar, Prof. Zbigniew Mikołejko 07.09.2024 – Saturday – 17:00 in the Orangery of Culture in Lidzbark Warmiński.

The meeting will be attended by students of the 30+ Gdańsk Academy, Lidzbark high school graduates from the 1968-1969 class, residents of Lidzbark Warmiński, friends, acquaintances. The professor is known for his work as an academic teacher, author of books, and publicist, but we will focus on how much he gave to the communities in which he worked and often co-created in the field of art and life.
And so Halina Chybińska and Wiesław Szczepanek will recall the school years of young Zbyszek, talk about his adolescence and youth, in Lidzbark Warmiński. Paweł Mazur will recall the Professor’s merits for the 30+ Academy, whose students got to know Warmia and Lidzbark Warmiński thanks to him. Anna Puszcz will present the time of his return to his hometown, meetings and publications concerning Lidzbark.

We will also stop at the poetry of Zbigniew Mikołejko, we will read selected poems from his oeuvre.

We invite all those who hold the Professor’s memory dear to experience it together and carry it through the years to come, unfortunately already experienced without him.
