Sculpture exhibition “From sketch to form”

In January, the Local Artists Gallery, located in the Adult Department of the Morąg Municipal Public Library, will host a post-plein-air exhibition by the ARTE Painting Group, titled “From Sketch to Form.” The two-day plein-air sculpture workshop took place in June 2025 in Ruś, at Ryszard Zmarzły’s agritourism farm. Mariusz Arsoba was the workshop instructor.
The “Arte” art group at the UTW in Morąg has been operating since 2007, with the goal of developing drawing, painting, and, most recently, sculpting skills. For 10 years, the group was led by Zofia Świat, who taught them various painting techniques. Agata Banach-Pająk and Janina Ślefarska also served as mentors for the group.
Since 2023, the instructor of the “Arte” group has been visual artist Mariusz Arsoba, who led workshops in Miłaków and currently at the Municipal Public Library in Morąg. The group also participates in art classes at the University of the Third Age (UTW), held at the Morąg Cultural Center, and in workshops at the Amateur Art Club in Ostróda. They also actively participate in numerous plein-air painting workshops, solo and group exhibitions. Their numerous awards and distinctions in regional, district, and national art competitions and reviews are a significant achievement.
The “Arte” artistic group includes: Wanda Dunaj, Iwona Florczak-Osękowska, Małgorzata Jaśkowiak, Danuta Łoszkowska, Małgorzata Klient, Aleksander Sawicki, Wiesława Sawicka, Maria Stacewicz, Wanda Szot, Zofia Świat, Melania Witkowska, and Ryszard Zmarzły.
