Theater at the Table – “Here is the cholent for today’s Sabbath…”

As part of the celebrations of the 27th Warmia-Masuria Family Days and Library Week, we invite you to another meeting as part of the Theatre at the Table campaign at the Municipal Public Library in Morąg.

This time, the acting pair Wiesława Szymańska and Marian Czarkowski from the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn will present a play entitled “Here is some cholent for today’s Sabbath…” by Wiesława Szymańska.

Plot description:
The story evokes the colorful world of Jewish customs, which is now just a memory – but how inspiring for subsequent generations. Attachment to tradition, cultivation of home rituals, love of dance and klezmer, perverse humor, love consecrated under a canopy, a business blessed by a rabbi – in a word: a harmonious neighborhood of the sacred and the profane. Possible and so colorful only in this culture.
