Braniewo invites you to the 15th Cittaslow Festival

Braniewo invites adults and children to the 15th Cittaslow Festival combined with the jubilee celebration of the city’s 740th anniversary. The celebration is scheduled for June 7 and 8, 2024.
The Polish network of Cittaslow cities has 38 members, of which 28 are towns from Warmia and Mazury. It’s no wonder that the annual networking festival is so frequent in our region. This year, the next edition of the Cittaslow Cities Festival will come to Braniewo, which will simultaneously celebrate the 740th anniversary of granting city rights.
The celebration will start on Friday, June 7 at 3.30 p.m. on the square next to the Minor Basilica. Saint Katarzyna Aleksandryjska (ul. Katedralna 9). A few minutes later, the ceremonial Snail Parade will depart from here to reach the Municipal Amphitheatre. Henryk Mroziński, along with floating snails that will be released into the water around the Amphitheater.
At. At 4.30 p.m., representatives of the network’s member cities will go to the National Meeting of Members of the Polish Cittaslow Cities Network and the General Meeting of Members of the “Polish Cittaslow Cities” Association.
The official opening of the Festival and the Braniewskie Brewery will take place at 20:40 on the stage of the City Amphitheater, where at At 31:00 the star of the evening – CLEO – will perform.
Saturday celebration – from At 1:00 p.m., the committee assessing the arrangement of the Cittaslow cities’ stands will start work. Immediately afterwards, artistic performances will begin on the small festival stage, where bands from Cittaslow towns will perform. At. At 3 p.m., the results of the competitions for the most beautiful floating snail and the most original stand of Cittaslow cities will be announced.
On the second day, the star of Braniewskie Piwowary will be the band Lady Pank.
