Summary of the Supralocal Revitalization Program in Brussels

13 Oct 2022

The social effects of the revitalization of Cittaslow towns in Warmia and Mazury were presented at the House of Eastern Poland in Brussels. The exhibition was attended by, among others: representatives of the provincial government or mayors of Cittaslow cities. The exhibition of works presenting the changes that have taken place in Cittaslow towns over the last few years was officially opened by Gustaw Marek Brzezin (Marshal of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) and Jacek Kostka (president of the “Polish Cittaslow Towns” Association).

All these changes were created thanks to the implementation of the “Supra-local Revitalization Program of the Cittaslow town network in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship”, which, thanks to funds from the European Union, supported social revitalization processes in Cittaslow towns with the amount of nearly EUR 51 million. The development of the idea of Cittaslow cities has led to a situation in which a strong partnership was born in the region – emphasized the voivodeship marshal.

The event was also the culmination of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish National Network of Cittaslow Cities (2007-2022).
